2001 Camry headlight assembly adjustment

Hello there,
I have a 2001 Camry that has about 188, 000 miles on it. I have two questions that I believe are interrelated. I would like some opinions concerning my thoughts.

I recently replaced both left and right headlight assemblies, because my original lenses were terribly faded and fogged up. I got the new ones from Amazon. The units are from Vision Auto Lamps. I purchased them last October, but just got around to installing them. I saw a Camry like mine in a parking lot and it had shiny new headlamps and it made the care look wonderful. I put a note on the car and asked them to call me. They later told me that they ordered them from Amazon. About fifty dollars for both left and right assemblies, and it includes new bulbs already installed.

So, I just installed them yesterday and when testing them on my garage door, it appeared as if they were too high. I tried adjusting them down a bit, and I was able to do so, but they won't go any lower and I think they are still a bit too high. One test method I have not tried yet on these lights are to just drive down some two lane roads at night with my lights on low beam and see if anyone flashes their lights for me to put mine on low beam, even though they are on low beam. I may try that tonight or tomorrow night.

My second question or comment is that I believe my rear struts need replacing. I have thought this for the last year or so, because when going over bumps and dips in the road, I feel like the back end of the car sort of flops up and down. If I bounce up and down on the rear bumper, the rear end will bounce a couple or more times. I have considered installing new Monroe strut assemblies, where you get the whole shebang, strut and springs already together as a unit.

Now I am wondering if the sagging springs is what has caused my new headlights to be shining too high. I am figuring that the old faded lens headlight assemblies were also too high, but I really could not tell because the lenses were so fogged up and faded that they really didn't blind anyone so no one flashed their lights at me. I'm thinking that new strut assemblies will bring the rear end of the car up a little bit, enough for the headlights to be able to be adjusted where they should be.

I have read other threads on Camry headlight adjustment. My 2001 Camry LE only has up/down adjustment.the long screw sticking out the rear of the assembly. There is no adjustment for left/right.
