Assemblymember Dababneh will be hosting a town hall on the California State budget on June 28th with special guests State Treasurer John Chiang and State Controller Betty Yee.
The Assemblymember and guests will give a presentation on the 2015-2016 California State Budget, the fiscal health of the state and what the Budget means for our community. Assemblymember Dababneh's Constituent Service Staff will also be on hand to assist with issues related to State Government. (Sacramento) - Today the legislature passed the 2015-2016 California State Budget with a total of $117.5 billion in General Fund spending, reserve savings of $5.7 billion and repayments of $2.6 billion towards the wall of debt. The budget bill will now go to the Governor for final negotiations and approval.
(Sacramento) – AB 221 and AB 1326, authored by Assemblymember Matt Dababneh (D –Encino), passed the Assembly floor today with broad bipartisan support.
Assemblymember Dababneh stated, “Technological advances are constantly creating new opportunities for government to take advantage of and new fields government must address. I am proud to have passed bills out of the Assembly today that make headway in both of these directions.”
(Sacramento) – Ahead of Friday’s deadline to pass legislation out of its house of origin, three bills authored by Assemblymember Matt Dababneh (D-Encino) were passed by bipartisan floor votes of the full Assembly and will be sent to the State Senate for further consideration.
(Sacramento) – On the last day for fiscal committees to report bills to the floor, five bills authored by Assemblymember Matt Dababneh (D-Encino) were approved by the Assembly Appropriations committee and will be eligible for a floor vote next week.
